Our test team, led by our test director,
puts in more than 200 days of on-the-water testing a year in the fields of Hokkaido.
With Hokkaido as our development base we also test in overseas fields,
and draw on the knowledge of our pro guide testers abroad,
developing rods that hold up across very different environments.
Blanks use Toray carbon, and on some models
the current top class of material, such as T1100G.
We use hand-selected AAAAA-grade cork,
and on some models the reel seat is built completely by hand from raw stock.
We allow no compromise, down to the smallest material and step of the process,
and everything is manufactured in Japan.
Built on the assumption that they will be used hard on real water,
these are fishing-first rods, honed relentlessly around the performance the field actually demands.
